NotedAges 9 to 14Terms
Updated 21 October 2026. Also: Noted’s privacy notice.
A few plain rules for using Noted. By setting it up for a child, you agree to them.
Who it’s for
Noted is for children, used with the knowledge of a parent or carer. A grown-up sets it up and chooses what each child may do. You are responsible for how it is used on your device.
Only a parent or carer should sign in to the Sparks family account. Keep the email you use for it to yourself: anyone who can read it can sign in, and see your family’s things in every Sparks app.
Lessons are written by AI
Courses made on request, dictionary entries and homework walk-throughs are written by an AI model. They are checked by rules, not read by a teacher first, and they can contain mistakes. Treat Noted as a help alongside school, not a replacement for it, and check anything that matters.
The homework helper is there to explain how to work something out. It isn’t for copying answers.
Using it fairly
Don’t use Noted to ask for anything harmful, hateful or unsuitable for children, and don’t try to get round its limits. We may limit or stop requests that look like misuse.
There are daily limits on how many courses and look-ups can be made, so that the service stays free of surprises for everyone.
Coins, stars and the School Supermarket
Stars and coins are earned by learning and are pretend. They can’t be bought, sold or swapped for anything outside the app, and they have no money value.
What’s ours and what’s yours
The app, its designs and its pictures belong to us. Whatever a child writes or draws in their notebooks is theirs. It stays on their device and, if you sign in, in your family account, and we don’t use it for anything else.
No promises we can’t keep
We work to keep Noted safe, accurate and running, but we provide it as it is. Parts that need the internet may sometimes be unavailable. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses that come from relying on it. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.
Without a sign-in, everything a child makes is saved only on the device: if the app is deleted or the device is lost, it can’t be recovered. Signed in, it is kept in your family account too, but keep in mind that changes made without a connection only reach the account once the device is back online.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date below shows when. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.
Noted is run by Studio Darling. Write to hello@sparksforkids.app. These terms follow the law of England and Wales.
